An eliminating fault is a fault that is severe enough to prevent the dog from receiving any medals at a conformation event. Any exaggerated or overdone trait that would make it difficult to engage in physical activity or perform well at work. Excessively tall, excessively short, or too huge canines, including dogs with a height so far from what is wanted as to damage health, structure, movement, and physical aptitude, are also considered faulty and hence cannot take part in exhibitions or club activities. In the United States, dog owners have the option to legally dock or crop their pets’ tails and ears as they see fit.
