How to train Your American Bully?

The American Bully breed is very intelligent, and they have got this trait from their ancestor Pitbull Terrier. They are also devoted and eager to please their owner. This combination makes them extremely trainable and a joy to work with.

They can quickly learn and master a variety of commands. Their intelligence is enhanced, and they can detect and protect the owner when they are in a potentially dangerous situation. If you want to train your bully, keep following things in mind,

  • Begin playing and walking with your puppy just after you pet them. Earn the trust of the puppy and then start to teach him basic commands like, “stay”, “move”, “come”, “Pick’, “drop” etc. this will make a sense of obedience and taming other advanced commands would be easier for you.
  • It’s better to let your puppies live indoors if they are below four months. This is the age of learning and adopting the environment so staying indoors will make your puppy homogenized with the environment of your home and have a better understanding of your likes and dislikes.
  • Allowing your puppy to interact with other animals, people, and even different environments is very crucial. This is the cornerstone of their education because it will shape your dog into a confident, sociable, and fearless adult.
  • Positive reinforcement techniques should be used to reward your puppies for good behavior.
  • Never yell at or hurt your puppy, because this may root the negative behavior and aggression in your pet. With patience and consistency, they would be trained sober.
  • Make them feel like family by taking them with you to gatherings.
  • Try to take them on car rides with you and teach them how to be calm.
  • Take them with you when you go swimming or doing other physical activities.

To train an American Bully XL puppy you must have to be very consistent. Spend at least 10 to 15 minutes daily with your puppy and make him feel important. They are a very sharp learner and they would not disappoint you.
