The American Bully Classic
An improvement on the standard bully, this breed is distinguished by its body style. The classic bully is lighter in weight and has a smaller overall body mass. Because it was bred to look like the American Staffordshire Terrier or the American Pit Bull Terrier, it has “bully” traits.
Size and Life Expectancy
At the withers, the males have a size of almost 17″ to 20″, while the females at the withers measure from 16″ to 19″. They have an average lifespan of 10–12 years.
Characteristics
Classic bullies are the same as standard bullies, except for their smaller frame.
The following are the characteristics of the standard American bully:
- The standard bully has a more compact and muscular appearance, although it is less muscular than the miniature bully.
- They have a well-defined and elongated jawline
- The shapes of eyes that are accepted include oval or almond-shaped eyes of any color. It is a defect if the eyes bulge.
- The muzzle must permit normal breathing to occur. The tip of it should be in line with the bridge of the nose.
- Tight or a little slack skin on the neck and shoulders, with a minor arch in the neck.
- It still looks like a strong dog, even though it has a lighter, less muscular build and a wide chest.
Like the standard bully, the classic bully has an almost identical temperament. Classic bullies are outgoing, steady, and confident. They are also very loyal and patient, and they want to please their owners at all costs.
The classic bully, like the standard bully, is kind and accepting of youngsters and strangers while still guarding their own family and possessions.
Indeed, it would be the best pick for those who want a pet that is strong, agile, and has great endurance without losing its charm.
