What to Feed Your American Bully XL?

Petting is something that demands your special attention as you care about your family. The first and foremost thing your American Bully XL requires is a healthy diet. Here is the list of some helpful tips on the diet plan of your newly adopted puppy.

If your puppy is under one year old then you’d better give it a food that is rich in fat and proteins. Best is the food which contains 20% fat and 30% or higher protein contents. Such a young puppy needs special attention as it is in the growth process. The food must be chosen carefully by knowing the possible allergies of your puppy.

If your puppy is not growing no matter how good you are taking care of the food then there is nothing to worry about as the growth of XL’s is mostly determined by their genetics rather than their diet. You may include following the given diet list,

  • The best quality food for your bully would be meat-based food as it will fulfill your puppy’s nutrient requirements.
  • Feed your puppy raw food often as they are not processed and have no preservatives in them which might be allergic for your bully. Moreover, raw food contains those necessary nutrients that your puppy requires for its perfect nourishment.

You may feed your Bully on homemade food which can include meat or soup broth, raw bones, meat stews, or other protein-rich meals.

  • Feeding your pet Bully on fruits is another best option but there are some fruits you should avoid giving to your dog. If you’re giving your dog fruit for the first time, start slowly. Otherwise, it may cause indigestion, vomiting, or diarrhea. The best fruits you can give your puppy are Blackberries, Banana, Blueberries, Kiwi, Apples, Cantaloupe, Strawberries, Pears, Watermelon, Raspberries.

  • If you are feeling that your puppy is lacking essential micronutrients then you may give it some supplements with the advice of a professional nutritionist. This would help your puppy to grow into a perfectly grown strong Bully.
